Mission

Partners in Wellness links people, skills, and resources to foster individual wellness and healthy communities.

Partners in Wellness was established in 2006 by Linnae Nelson, a registered psychiatric nurse, and Sandy Zuri, a special education professional, who shared a common vision of wellness. They saw wellness as not just the absence of illness or disease, but as the deliberate choices one makes every day to learn and practice skills that foster personal growth, thoughtful decision-making, meaningful relationships, and healthy minds and bodies.

Since its inception, Partners in Wellness has offered non-medical, community-based wellness programs and services in Middle Tennessee. Special emphasis has been placed on ensuring that the organization's programs are available to our most vulnerable community members such as children and adults with disabilities, the elderly, "at risk" youth, homeless persons, and other disenfranchised groups who often have difficulty accessing or affording such opportunities.

Today, both Linnae and Sandy are hard at work, helping to oversee the organization's programs. They volunteer their time to make sure that personal wellness is something that all people in Middle Tennessee have a chance to experience.
